One of my first XP car mods was the removeable rear clam. I tease Phil about it being the inspiration of the BOE Clamhinge. This is a must-have if you want to tinker with your Lotus. It has been used by hundreds of Lotus owners now.

It is compatible with all Toyota 4 cylinder powered Elise and Exige models. Sorry, this kit will not fit the Rover powered S2 or S1 Elise and Exige

We have made several improvements to the kit over the years including better clam support brace, improved rear diffuser brace, and others. It's now version 2.0!

With this nifty bit-o-kit you'll be able to tilt the entire rear clam up and out of the way. It's a one-person job and the process requires 2-3 minutes (or less) from beginning to end!

Installation requires only basic hand tools. It will take the average do-it-yourselfer a full day and an extra set of hands to install. The kit provides everything you need to install. Our rear panel eliminator is powder coated black. It does not work with the stock exhaust, so this is a great time to upgrade to a nice shiny aftermarket exhaust, such as Larini if you haven't already.

All components are powder coated or anodized for corrosion resistance. In addition each component was designed with CAD and made with CNC machinery for the highest quality and accuracy possible.

Part of the standard kit is a battery relocation tray, which accepts the Odyssey PC625 battery
